I wish my husband wasn't so difficult and self absorbed. I will be driving a little ways to a co-worker s funeral. He gets stupid about distance etc... I hate to lie but find myself having to improvise to not start an issue. It gets old!!!

Is he going? If he doesn't like the distance, maybe he should stay home? If you are going alone, and he has an issue about the distance, I don't understand what the issue would be if he's not going. Is it in an unsafe city, and he worries? Sorry, I am not sure I understand.

@lavender1 Thanks for the input, no this is a coworker so it's a work deal. A lot of people will be heading over to the services this morning. He is home sick anyway.
He just gets stupid about things...and I-10 can be a bit much to drive on..he doesn't know I'm going yet.
