It's all about prioritizing. In the end, you can do both but you'll have to make compromises one way or another. I use Google calendars to schedule my day and leisure time.

Can't manage that even without a partner! Really if I'm in a long-term relationship I just drop out of here anyway, this is not a place that tends to be conductive to that sort of thing, and then you hopefully have someone to share your weirdness with.

Good question.
I'm married... To a man who has OCD. We are complete polar opposites. We watch tv and eat together sleep together and laugh quite alot but it's usually about his quirks. He lacks on emotion and that would be his one downfall!
So I tend to come here when I'm alone. He works away alot. He hates social media but I like it here. He knows about some of my friends here.. He is glad I have it.
We do walks together forest rambling and a bit of hiking but he doesn't swim with me and I don't mountain bike with him.
We manage our real life quite well. As we have one child so there isn't much juggling.
Some of us work with our computers: we just open up another tab!

@EugenieLaBorgia Good point, but I prefer a parallel dimension.
@Faust76 I have that, too! I remain awake twenty hours each day while others lie simmering in their beds like burgers in a pan!

I have about 3 more days of time wasting before I must take a sabbatical from waffling shite to strangers

That is a very good question...I have been asking myself that too..🤔

I am married and have been for 38 years..Until I found this site,I didn't have an online life...Now I am struggling with trying to balance my time here and still take care of my offline life..right now I am afraid my offline life is being a bit neglected..In a few days I will be offline for 2 weeks though ,so maybe I will figure it out then..😒

Married. I’ve learned to become an amazing multitasker.

Focus on what is most important, I.e. exercise/personal health, work, partner, close relationships and fun (which includes and combines exercise/partner/friends/family).

Multi tasking. Also, I have downtime at work while waiting for people.

We work opposite schedules. When I’m at work during the day he’s resting at home. We usually have dinner together & then he gets ready for his shift while I get things ready for the next day. He leaves I go to bed. I get up for work we kiss hello & goodbye. Usually leaving notes helps remind each other how much we are missed. When we have time together we make sure to get out to have fun & then have time together at the house too.
