I don't understand how anyone could cheat on their partner. If the relationship's no going well and you already tried fixing it, how hard is it to break up and end it? Why lie to your partner and betray their trust in you for another person?

Like a previous comment said, it'll be harder if kids and marriage are in the picture but I also agree, people could either fix it or end it

You have very good instincts, and this is the way it should be. Assuming that the relationship is healthy, it's the ultimate betrayal, to cheat on a an unwitting partner.

Life is a bit complicated though, and no two affairs are the same.

Yeah, that's why I didn't add divorce. I still don't like that someone is cheating but I admit that it's a whole other matter.
