Ha! Happened at my work too, as soon as I found out somebody bubbled me for spreading it - I did not spread it, I was told it. Sadly it was a female who was stirring the pot so there was no punishment for her, rather than stir it up further I took my talking to but stated my position and expressed my consternation that the only person telling stories was the one who'd gone to admin.
