I don't know what genre you're into so I'm just gonna mention some books that I'd gladly re-read today

Tuesdays with Morrie
The Midnight Library
Before the coffee gets cold (I'm actually reading this one these days)
And The Secret History by Donna Tartt which is quite different compared to the other three but sooooo good

@littlepuppywantanewlife can't hurt me, by David Goggins??
Amazing book!!
@Fullmetal Yes.
I always recommend Terry Pratchett Discworld. Or a joint effort with Neil Gaiman - "Good Omens".

@Menetics
I’ve not seen it yet, my daughter watched it and wasn’t made up with it. It’s a beautiful book, I stayed up all night reading it, couldn’t put it down. Very emotional 😭
Menetics · 26-30, F
@SW-User The book is always better than the movie. Thank you :) I’ll surely read it.

@Menetics my daughter got me to read it, sat by my bedside for ages, she kept pestering me to start it.
I’m glad she did, it’s very touching.

A very strong one, genuinely : "Diana" by R.F. Delderfield (nothing to do with royalty). I was really haunted by it. It's a love story rather than erotic.
Menetics · 26-30, F
@alan20 Thank you :)
alan20 · M
@Menetics Let me know if you like it, ♥️
Menetics · 26-30, F

@Iwillwait Are you religious?

@Menetics No, I am believer who reads the Bible, but I am not religious. (Neither is GOD) I am seeking a relationship, not religion.
redredred · M
What subjects do you like?
Menetics · 26-30, F
@redredred Do you mean genre? I normally read Thriller, Mystery, Romance and Philosophy books. I’m open to anything though.
redredred · M
@Menetics the ones I usually recommend are,

1) “Killer Angels”. It’s a story about the men of the Battle of Gettysburg. “Killer Angels” is a term from a letter by Lincoln. It means our worse vs. better natures. The book is inspiring/sad/uplifting/tragic.
2) “A World Lit Only By Fire” by William Manchester. It’s a book about the period when the Middle Ages became the Renaissance. It’s fascinating.
3) “Childhoods End” By Arthur Clarke. Even if you don’t like science fiction, this book is something everybody should read. It frequently makes the top ten list of SF fans.
Menetics · 26-30, F
@deadgerbil Eh, I’m done with that already XD I think I have learned enough.
