But then you have to pay that person a percentage of your profits. If you can market your book yourself...you can keep all of the profits!!!!!! Just read some articles about marketing. There's this thing called "guerrilla marketing" where you think outside the box, like you and your friends wearing a T-shirt with the name of your book on it into the city where a lot of people are sure to see it!
@cherryblueberryraspberry Also Guerrilla Filmmaking! Fuck permits & the system!!

Yeah, I tried that route. Usually free advertising is your best bet.
@SW-User Exactly. I even made a game & same kind of results happen. I put out a job posting even though I say in the ad its non-pay volunteering and everytime I show them the notes, they ignore my ass. Or a few times they're like, is there pay? I'm very much into non-profit mode lately and yet the struggle continues.
Sometimes its like, if you enjoy your art. Thats all that matters.

Ebook would be safest
SW-User
@Tracos Do you simply mean ebook or is that a name of a self publishing platform?
Tracos · 51-55, M
I meant an electronic book... But there are several platforms depending on on theregion and type of book you are writing
SW-User
@Tracos Thanks!

People buy ebooks all the time. So maybe.
SW-User
maybe not, a blog seems a decent alternative
SW-User
@SW-User blogs don't pay for the first year of postings. Plus.... I honestly don't know if people even read blogs?
SW-User
@SW-User I see, I had something else in mind when I wrote that, blog works if your main aim was just to be read and share your writings. Yea they do, why not, if they find it interesting enough, what makes a book more readable than a blog if both are being read digitally, idk
SW-User
@SW-User You got a point! 👍
