You can’t force someone out of misery.

When you try to help someone by being supportive remember you can only try. It’s up to that person to accept or refuse help. Yeah I get depression affects everyone differently but you can at least make an effort to get out of your misery instead of constantly moaning about it.
But if someone decides to remain miserable that’s their choice.

I like trying to help because helping is noble and worth it in itself, regardless of the result. There's no point in being bitter because it didn't work, do it because it's right, and you can't lose.
@thinkincubes No bitterness. I’ve accepted the fact that the person wants to be miserable.
@wilderflower Gosh, that's so unfair and insensitive. Not all want to be depressed. This is sad.
@LadyGrace Yes it’s sad but it’s how she wants to be.
@wilderflower I agree that some people don't try to help themselves, but then there are others that sadly, want to get better, but for some reason or other, like the chemistry in their brain, cannot help the way they feel and it makes me greatly sad when people say "it's all in their mind". It most certainly is not. If only it were that easy.
