What is it with certain days like Valentine's or Father's/Mother's day... why wait till one day to appreciate your loved ones?

Why wait till one day to appreciate ur parents or partner? What's wrong with showing ur love any other time of year?

These were created for those who stay away from family and loved ones for a long period like army navy overseas workers and so on.. and those with parents in hospice and so on.. but for others it's like peer pressure .. you can't be the odd one out.

@in10RjFox I am not saying I am an odd one out but just saying why wait for one special day to show ur affection for ur loved one?! What's wrong with the other days of the year? Ok u might be away for what ever reason but why the 14th of feb for valentine's? Why not the 21st Sept to send flowers or chocolates?
