So the above words tell you something about me...let's see...
I LOVE reading! It's kinda funny, cause when I first learned to read, I HATED it! But one evening that all changed. I was 9, and my dad rented this terrible movie...it just plain sucked! But then he mentioned to me that he had the books, which piqued my curiosity. So I started on the first one. It was about 800 pages, and something that might even challenge a high school reader. I didn't care, I wanted to read the book. So I did, and after that...I quickly went from a third grade reading level to a ninth grade level well before the end of the year, and got yelled at for not paying attention in class/doing my chores at home because I was reading something!
As a result of getting my books confiscated at school, I started writing my own stories. Mostly I write poetry, with an occasional novel length story. I like writing poetry, it's how I best express the inner me.
I thoroughly enjoy music, and listen to many different kids, but my favorite will always be classical. I love to sing, and often sing along with the radio. Music has been a part of my life since I first started remembering things as a wee toddler. In high school, I was very active with music. I played in Marching band, symphonic band, basketball band, jazz band, and community band.
I am an Anesthesia Awareness survivor. My 'awareness' occurred November 8th, 2007. If you, or anyone you know is a survivor too, please don't hesitate to contact me. It's a horrible thing to go through, but made even worse when you don't know anyone else who's been through the same thing, like being a tiny island in a vast sea. I would never want to go through that again, but can honestly say I am grateful for the lessons I learned as a result.
