Keeping stuff bottled up doesn't help you become grateful. Complaining doesn't mean that you are ungrateful. A legit complaint expressed in a good way can lead to being more grateful. Why should you settle for "not as bad as it could be"?

You don't need to keep it to yourself. Some people always have it worse, but it doesn't mean it's not effecting you too. It's healthy and it's good to talk about what's bothering you. I'm sure many people have the same feelings and it's comforting to hear others are with you.
