Yes. And get rid of the democracy. People who know nothing of how society would function best should not have a say. At minimum, only educated people should be allowed to have a vote. Or at least a fuckin' mental screening.

The masses are sheep. They're stupid and vulnerable to emotional logic amd psychological manipulation. They don't know what's good for them.

@Tatsumi a symptom, yes, indeed. but you can't expect a boughten government corrupted by monetary influences to change the system that brought about the corruption.

@ProfMarston It does make it difficult, huh. It would have been ideal to understand the progression first, then make changes before corruption spread to government. At least, en masse.

In any case, it is a convoluted issue, which makes it fun to think about.

So. Off the top of my very tired head, I figure there are two general ways. Incentivize politicians to abandon that corrupt economic system, whatever kind of incentivizing that means: be it re-election or monetary.

Or presenting the corruption as more trouble than it's worth.

I dunno, a nonprofit dedicated to rooting out government corruption, maybe. Add one more check and balance, not bound to government or corporation.

Of course, there could also be a counter. A charismatic individual who binds soceity together under the sole cause of rooting out the corruption, and using the inborn tools we have as a society to come together and demand change.

But. The problem with that is people are sheep. Well. Considering that, then maybe the only option in that method is to find someone charismatic enough to accrue social influence, then have them manipulate the masses in a different way. Rather than for personal gain, for the gain of society. If the sheep simply cannot think, or just don't have time to, maybe they need a shepard who gives a fuck about them, even if they are idiots.

But you were right, society is much too partisan for that to really work. So, as long as half the country views the other half as the viceral enemy, there's not much hope that I can see. The power gap seems insurmountable, at this point.

So, the ideal method is probably just incremental changes in social outlook. Through media and entertainment and education. A nonprofit funding higher education may go a long way. It'll take decades, but it could be the most reliable method.

Any kind of sharp change is going to cause dissent.

So maybe the only thing we can do is leave it up to the children. They are the future, after all. And if their views change, if they become less suseptible to corruption, then the corruption will disappear.

@ProfMarston those bio degradable bottles just seem like bad news health wise, but fortunately those brands tend to have more added fluoride than the tap water does so i dont drink them.
