I think trumps rid*culous unfulfilled promises, cutting GOVT programs left and right, and maybe things like data centers being built in every rural community had something to do with people being fed up.
Even the "staunchest" supporters have to finally admit they got reamed in the backside.
Even so, I will never understand why people believed his BS in the first place. 🤨

@Waveney What is concerning though about the outcome this time is that for the next two years or so, we will hear trump cry that the democrats cheated, are gerrymandering, they stole the election...
But with owning the libs, they might be doing that but they are sh00ting themselves in the foot in the process.

@SunSetStrut But luckily, few will care what Trump thinks. There's nothing he can do about it now.
Instead, the Dems now have to concentrate on coming together and not blowing it before 2028.

Let's be honest here.
They were united by the fact that they were finally suffering the consequences of their actions and apathy.
It sucks but it is the truth.
Like I said to my partner (an American); there is a huge difference between doing something because it is the right thing to do, and doing it because you're trying to save your own skin.
This is one reason most candidates compaigned by focusing on internal affairs over foreign wars...rather than simply admit that all war is inherently wrong.
