When money talks fairness walks.

It's so hard to give the U.S any credibility in it's organisation of this event or FIFA's governance of it.
Not just today but throughout the history of their involvement in it.

I wonder how much FIFA got as a kick back?
FIFA should keep its dick out of politics and deal with running the game fairly, for all countries to participate. It's not the players that make war. It's not the fans of the game that make war, it's the men in suits and ties sitting behind their desks in the comfy offices in their highly secure buildings who make war. Everyone else should not pay for that.
Israel and Russia should be treated the same, both have invaded other countries... and then there's the hosts, I don't even know where to start.
The supposed leader of the free world? What price freedom?

@aboveaverageaveragejoe it seems to me, that although infantino says he wants to unite the world in sport, it’s clear that he only believes this for some parts of the world.

@Waveney Especially if there's any chance of reflected glory from it?

I would not trust the money-men and general supercharged hangers-on who run FIFA - and other major professional sports - to run a church-hall jumble-sale with any probity.
