Aren't they equal now? I have no idea. I pay no attention to the outside world :O

Confused. Inspired. Both at the same time. I didn't march because I haven't bought into the fear mentality that we are all doomed. However, from what I see it was a peaceful gathering. I truly hope alliances were formed to take action and make differences incommunities despite government, instead of waiting to try to change government. If that's what they need. The hateful ones (Madonna) showed hypocrisy. Most that I know were there to stand for something, not against. That's always cool. But they can't convince me women's rights are dying. If they are upset because Trump grabbed a pussy or stated he'd "tap that" they need to look in the mirror. Women get just as demeaning towards men with sexual innuendos. I've seen it first hand. Clinton did God knows what IN the White House. I don't know. Just a lot of hypocrisy and irony. But yet, inspiring in some ways. So there's my take...

I agree 100%
I thought they were protesting our electoral process because they don't like the results?

@Stereoguy: Most who were asked by media that I saw had no idea why they were there. They were simply invited to be there and when asked what rights they thought Trump was going to take away there was a lot of um's and no answer. It was organized as a political tantrum because their candidate lost.

I'm a little confused as to why some of them felt the need to dress up like vajayjays and hold crude signs..but each to their own I suppose.

As long as any march is peaceful and no one is hurt, I am grateful.

Extremely pro them. I have been pretty promiscuous in my life and still am, but I never regard women as objects to be used and discarded. I find Trump's attitude and language despicable.
One thing occurs to me is that boasting to his friends about his objectification of women suggests a deep seated lack of confidence in his own sexuality. I wouldn't wish him on the gay community - or indeed any animate group - but wonder if he will eventually come out.
Women's rights in the sixties were righteous necessary and poignant. Today, except for a few things that can be dealt with with maturity and legality, it's nothing more then whiny spoiled children expecting the road of life to be paved for them with the insistence that there will be no bumps. And should the hit the smallish one, everyone associated with it is evil!
@mar3sword: I was simply agreeing with your statement that gender and language. The lengthy diatribe you said before it was missed! Simply because it is your perception. And we know I disagree with your perceptions.

Definitely inspired. And ready to participate as an activist again. I spent some time with the marchers here early Saturday, didn't stay too long, but reconnected with some of the people I've marched with in the last century. Some of these issues it might be argued may not even be my personal fight, reproductive rights, LGBT rights, wage disparity, healthcare. but I don't want us to lose any gains or do any backtracking because some people are willing to screw themselves to get at those they consider "other". I was really, really proud at how many men were willing to stand alongside us and be counted, too.
