Most people don't realize just how many more vaccinations are given to children today than were given a few decades prior.
1940s...autism was first diagnosed
Back in the '60s, autism wasn't well understood. The medical community claimed that autism effected about 1 in 10,000 people.
By the 1970s, the numbers were about 1 in 5000. Most likely due to a better understanding of autism and broadening the criteria.
By the mid 90s, that number was 1 in 150. That's a giant leap, and harder to explain away as simply a better understanding of the condition, but again, there was a broadening of diagnostic criteria.
In 2023, the number is 1 in 36. Again...another giant leap. After decades of researching autism, this jump can't simply be explained away as having a better understanding of the condition. Some sort of outside environmental factors are likely at play.
I'm not saying vaccines are causing autism, but the correlation shouldn't be dismissed.
