Big sales in Tin Foil this holiday season. And I suggest a blood test for heavy metals poisoning.

Both did I ever have you pegged correctly. Someone who is about a belief system not facts or evidence.

Does your back hurt? Because it looks like you really stretched for that one.

@ItsMeMorgue I'm pretty open minded and diplomatic, and am happy to hear your thoughts :) I'm also doing a medical management degree and a teaching diploma, so I can also understand things pretty well. So, go ahead :)

@Therealsteve I mean, first of all, you'd have to prove that he existed in the first place. Secondly, there's the matter of him saying that he would return within the lifetime of some of his disciples. So unless you're saying they've lived 2,000 years or more, he either already returned way, way before your time, or he's not coming back.

That's ignoring the fact that Trump basically fits the prophecies of the Antichrist more than anyone alive, so I'm not really sure what you expect him to do in your little doomsday fantasy.

Oh, and then there's the fact that Israel was intentionally recreated after being gone for so long by members of the church who have a doomsday fantasy of their own. Seems like everybody's gay for doomsday. But it makes me wonder, does it actually count as fulfilling prophecy if people are intentionally doing it?

@ItsMeMorgue Respect to you to for the thought out and respectful response, that's more than you'd get from 99% of the users here, or anywhere. :)

Here's the thing, a lot of people I discuss this with are limited to Christian eschatology. As it seems you've limited your response to, here. Which is not what I'm referencing. I'm referencing kabbalistic history and prophecy, which has some overlap with Christianity, due to the whole "grafted into the tree of israel" thing, and how Christianity becomes Edom, the new struggling sibling of Jacob. And one of the interesting things about that is that it is not seen as a "doomsday" scenario, quite the opposite, actually. I would be talking about Trump more in terms of a leader of Edom, which quite a few Jewish groups do, as well. In fact, mainstream Israeli TV has depicted him as exactly that.

"Israel was intentionally recreated after being gone for so long by members of the church who have a doomsday fantasy of their own."

Huh, "the church"? Which one? Israel, as we know it now, was the culmination of the efforts of the UNSCOP and the UN General Assembly, based upon the efforts of the head of "The Jewish Agency", the head of the "World Zionist Organisation", none of which are church organisations. These two organisations were able to piggyback off of the legislation and prior efforts of the Balfour Declaration and the Peel Commission, both of which were the work of senior British civil servants, not of any church :)

Your thoughts? :)
