Russia isn't really going to involve itself in the Middle East unless their Foreign Affairs with the Iranians in particular are under threat. They won't stand idly by and allow Iran to be attacked. Russia has had good reason to have good relations with Iran over many years, along with Syria. Russia was actually INVITED by Syria to help fight Islamic State. It's not really in Russia's strategic or geopolitical interest to be dragged into Warfare in the Middle East.

Russia isn't interested in swiring down the drain into Humiliation and Irrelevance, while at the same being aghast at the level of Stupidity Squared displayed by the Bombastic Simpletons on Capitol Hill and State Capitols, the American Public, Taxpayers, and Consumers.

Russia fully understands, (unlike the United States Government and its Citizenry) that Short-Term decisions have Long-Term consequences, Actions have consequences big Nations cannot Bluff.

After all, Russia certainly will not be willing to dance with the Devil since they know the Bill will come due that they will be forced to Pay.

Yes on the first part. For one logistical hubs are falling in Donbas which will lead to the fall of more areas.

That is just the way it is.

As for the middle east there are people like Bibi who requires chaos to stay in power.

As Russia is not involved in the Middle East situation it will have no effect on what it does in Ukraine .
@Anniedlr Well that might change if Bibi invades Syria too.
I don't understand your Q
