You're kind of implying education is a bad thing here. People who go to university (even to study drama or sociology) tend to end up with higher paying jobs eventually, and therefore pay higher taxes.

How about the US abolishes medical debt through a national system of health insurance and/or provision, instead? That would probably make more sense. The entire civilised world manages it, and doesn't need to make memes to make itself feel better.

@JuniperEmz so I’ll ask again, why can’t these people pay for their own education, they can obviously afford it, because they are earning good money, why do everyday working people have to help pay for their education, what do everyday working people get out of this deal,
JuniperEmz · 22-25, F
@ididntknow They can't afford it before they earn the money, can they?

"Everyday working people" includes people working in universities, medical centres, and offices. It's not all coal mining and steelmilling.

But accepting your premise, "everyday working people" get other citizens earning a significant amount of money and paying higher rates of tax, which pays for roads, street lights, garbage collection, recycling plants, the police and fire services, healthcare (at least in most of the world), public libraries and leisure centres, social care, children's playgrounds or public daycare, schools, further-education colleges (IDK how these are funded in the US tbh), the defence of the country, public benefits, etc, etc, etc.

Plus, well-trained doctors and nurses and surgeons, teachers (yeah it's a sore point given the indoctrination, but they're still well trained :P ), etc.

Everyone benefits even if not everyone goes to university. That's why it's a public investment.

@JuniperEmz so for instance I’d like like to become a truck driver, will my training be paid for, or do I have to pay for it myself

You used the word “ sense”. Sense in this administration is not in their vocabulary much less actions.
MarineBob · 56-60, M
That would make to much sense

Sad thing is if insurance company misses or contests a bill the hospital may legally take my home
Very true…! Doing this for just cancer patients alone would test their( the administration’s) mettle and commitment to “ affordable” healthcare.
But the Cabal and their puppet Joe see votes coming from debtors aka students who owe. This is a sham , and also being
It’s a government plan, prone to massive bureaucracy and fraud.
