Feminism is literally that women are in every way equal to men, and unless you think that you are not with as much as a man than you should not be against feminism. Plus we wouldn't need it if women were given all the benefits that men have.
LittleAnonymousChick · 22-25, F
@Rosesarered I disagree completley. If there hadnt been technology and birth control my opinion wouldnt matter.
Rosesarered · 22-25, F
What does birth control have to do with your opinion??
LittleAnonymousChick · 22-25, F
@Rosesarered Birth control is what gave women control over their bodies

Zer0Point · 36-40, F
I agree with feminism in the third world, women should have equal rights, I believe, and should be able to represent themselves fairly and equally. Although, I don't agree with radical feminism, or feminists of the first world. In my opinion, they seek to make themselves better than men which is unfair. Most tend to favor feminism only if it benefits them.
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@Zer0Point I agree. Most women in third worlds still get punished for being raped.
LittleAnonymousChick · 22-25, F
@SatanBurger You do realize a lot men get punished for being raped as well?
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@LittleAnonymousChick I know men get raped but if you look in google of any Middle Eastern man getting stoned for being raped you won't find it. Ultimately my point is that there is a need for checks and balances. I'm not pro/anti but I do think there's merit in the women that decided to take action over talking about how things "may" change because talk is cheap.
Alfarrobas · 31-35, M
I view feminism like communism. It's a revolution. It's useful where and when an violent and/or assertive point is needed to improve the women's live. But when it happens, the revolution, the necessity for that revolutionary clash its over. And then you take the next step. Humanitarian.
LittleAnonymousChick · 22-25, F
I view feminism as unnecessary way to gain freedom for women. Utopias don't exist and they won't. The best is to acknowledge who we are and to deal with it.
Alfarrobas · 31-35, M
It's not the end itself, but the means for it. In some places it's Necessary a violent rupture with the past or social convention. After that clash, when the sets are more calm and open and leveled, the objective is to work for the collective.
Like all things. It can be better, not perfect.
LittleAnonymousChick · 22-25, F
@Alfarrobas Feminism isn't necessary. Women would have gained freedom without it. Taking away feminism women would have fained freedom anyways. Take away technology and birth control? Feminism is as useless as its always been throughout the times it has been tried in history.
Some of their views I agree with, others not so much. I want equal rights for men and women, yet we are not exactly equal in all ways. Each gender has its particular strengths and weaknesses. Feminists don't usually see that to be true.

Great . A young chick doing mansplaining drag, eh? 😊
MissPriscillaPrim · 70-79, T
@LittleAnonymousChick No, I'm sorry you got that impression. I am unsure if you're joking or serious.
LittleAnonymousChick · 22-25, F
Mansplaining is a rather sexist term don't you think? Shall men create words in order to point out female habits? That could also be male?

I don't like labels like that. It'd be much easier if people just took time to explain what they stand for instead of saying "I'm a feminist", which nowadays is a very vague word.
