Why is Philippines 3rd World when it has hard working people and courts to check Presidents

pft. politics is a shitshow. and filipinos go overseas to work and earn triple as much as they had back there

It has had a long line of corrupt presidents and government officials..

It has had a history of both communist insurgencies and islamist jihads..

Plus corruption affects the Judiciary and police forces..


If it had a better more unified culture today it would be like South Korea.. Maybe even more advanced..

It's impoverished and underdeveloped. They lack of access to health care and birth control, poor education, high poverty and lack of economic freedom, high crime, corruption and drug wars, human rights crisis, I could go on forever

Religion and corruption.

Low GDP/ high poverty rates, crime, corruption, congestion, high infant mortality are some of the reasons.

Third world just means they didn't buy a seat on the U.N. committee.
