I wrote an acrostic poem once. It has 160 lines. One stanza for each letter in the alphabet (6 lines per stanza with each line starting with that letter of the alphabet), with a 4 line tag at the end.

Amazing! Well done you. This is a simple example, or course, but helpful if someone doesn't know varying styles of writing poetry.
There is a more difficult way of doing this which I never got around to attempting; actually, I can't quite remember how it goes but I might look it up some time. Thanks for the comment :)

@Justbychance: That was just my longest acrostic. I've also written shaped poems. My longest poem, however runs 7 pages, never counted the number of lines.

Yes, it does and I've spent a lot of time thinking back to those days; wondering where they are now, how life has treated them and such-like thoughts. :)
