They were young when they first married,
They grew old hand in hand.
They faced the daily challenges,
And together they would stand.

No matter what crisis hit them,
The one thing they knew was true.
They would face them all together,
Their times apart were few.

Together they raised a family,
They struggled to make ends meet.
But they always knew they were happy,
Together they felt complete.

Their years have caught up with them,
It is time to turn the page.
The only thing that can stop them,
Is their health and lofty age.

Although they loved to travel together,
And faced life on their own.
They knew their final journey,
Will have to be faced alone.
