I Write Poetry

I wouldn't trade loving you
for anything in the world
though sometimes everything
that surrounds us doesn't
seem to make much sense
I can always count on your love
to help me do my best

we don't live in a perfect world
cause if we did
circumstances would be different
how we'd be living our lives
with each other and not the others
but things are as they were meant to be
as hard as that sometimes is for me to accept

I wouldn't trade loving you
for anything in the world
my life is brighter, more fulfilling
I am motivated to take chances
keep moving forward
than anytime in my life

so it's all about loving each other
in good times and bad
whether be tears or smiles
doesn't matter the circumstance
what matters is us, baby, you and I
