I simply had to bookmark this poem to reread it again and again. 🙌 It's so thoughtful and poignant in our war against the ocean of plastic. We must take responsibility for that and clean up our mess.

It really is a shame to see all the trash that washes up on the beach. I try my best to pick up and put in a correct trash receptacle what I find on the shore.

Your well written poem has more hope than I do. I remember when in the Navy we used to take the boat out to sea mainly to dump huge amounts of trash. I was too stupid to care much back then but now am sickened by it. Truly we are a nightmare
