One of the greatest poems ever. Thank you for posting it.

Love Frost!

I got to stop by his house in Vermont and walk through his woods. One of the most magical moments of my life ✨
@SW-User That is so nice ! 😃

My mother met Robert Frost at a poetry recital in the 1950s. I believe you can find online videos of Frost reciting this and other poems. He has a very thick New England accent and a distinctive way of speaking.

Same, i might have borrowed the last few lines for my own poem

For miles and miles i will creep
through the blinding snow - these lonely streets
nor will i eat, or drink, or sleep
until one day you come back to me

It is lovely. ❤️ My daughter has the last stanza tattooed on her shoulder blade.
@JustNik That’s beautiful. I post the TCM Remembers memorials each year and for 2020 they used a song with Frost’s poem, which made it especially poignant.

Beautiful. I studied Mending Walls either at school or college, can't recall. He has this essence of depth hidden in the most forthright simplicity.
I've not seen this. I'm interested in your take. For me it reminds me of how complete and still I feel in nature, yet I'm hardly ever in it. Like the owner I live in a village and I have promises and miles to go that pull me away from those moments. Life has pulled us away from nature. I love that even the horse, pulled countless generations before from the wild itself, its ancestors once wild things, but now domesticated like us, doesn't comprehend. But I haven't lived with this for long, I only first read it now.
He’s my favorite poet. And that’s my favorite poem. Love you, my friend.
@JustGoneNow Did you see the song I posted for JustNik a bit further down ? TCM Remembers created it for their 2020 memorial. It incorporates Frost’s poem.
@bijouxbroussard I did. Beautiful, my friend. 🖤🤗
To me, it kind of sounds like an epiphany or moment of self-realization. There are many objectives to be achieved before he dies.
I even mention the last lines one of mine.

Yes, very beautiful 🌹
Gosh!
That is
So
Beautiful.
And profound.

It is like watching a movie
and I am in it ❄️🎄 ✨ 🤍

And I teared up as I read the last lines
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
and miles to go before I sleep .

I understand it better too, in my fashion.

That is Beautiful. I grew with the woods
And snow close by,with white tail
In our back yard.
