Oh, yes...I had "Heinz 57 varieties" as well as purebreds when I was growing up. That was Daddy's fault - he was a dog lover no one equal. We already had a Labrador Retriever when I mentioned to him a person from work had Boston Terrier (whom my dad called "bulldogs") puppies for sale. He had always wanted one of those, so he went to see them, brought one home, and kept her in a portable dog kennel until Lady had a chance to meet her. They stood looking at each other - Bonnie looking up at the top of her kennel, Lady looking down - then I saw the Lab's tail swinging and I knew it was okay to let them mix together. With the exception of one bite when Bonnie jumped in my bed with Lady and she blinded her in one eye, they got along famously.
Boston terrier - they look just like little waiters. I had one a few years ago, and I had to put her down because she developed heart failure and wouldn't tske the pills the vet recommended. Bonnie, sweetheart, I miss you much.
