She relates to it.

A lump of warm fur, happy, sleeping. Dreaming of wrapping herself around your neck, and you petting her, and she kneads into the fabric as the memory comes.
She listens for your footsteps, and when they stop in front of the chair she gets ready to run, but then a hand presses down on the cover, feeling her and she relaxes, eyes close and the purring begins.

I looked so hard to see if she was one of the black cats 😂
