@Penny I have a situation like this; when I read, researched and learned about the effects of these parasites on human health, my anxiety attack started. Moreover, my cat is not a house cat, it is a shop cat that goes out and enters the store. I was very normal before I learned about these parasites and their effects on human health. Also, it is said that a person in my country is blind in one eye due to toxoplasmosis that he caught from a cat, this news scares me even more, toxoplasmosis can be mild in some people and they are immune, but sometimes it can cause serious damage to some organs. In other words, I am not in a schizophrenic state, what worries me is only what science tells me about parasites.

You'll be fine if you wash your hands after handling the cat and the litter box. And of course, not letting in the cat where you eat(meaning walk on counters, lick from your plate etc) the parasite is killed with the simplest way-wash. Wash hands before eating. Don't put hands in mouth (or first wash them) wash utensils etc.
Also, you can have the cat tested and see if it has the parasite.
It's basic hygiene. If you are a clean person you would not get any sort of cat parasite. Plus get her dewormed.

I've almost certainly have had it in the past, it rarely hurts humans. More a cat issue.
I don't think you are at risk of anything cat related except the occasional flea.

I'm sorry to say it this way but I think you are over thinking and causing your own anxiety by researching all the possible negatives. You've just become victim of the cat Distribution System and been adopted. Embrace it.

My take away on this. Cats are parasites. Like any sensible person didnt already know this..😷
