life and our pets Yesterday I stopped and picked up my dog's ashes from the vet. Still...

When our dog died, the vet couldn't care less, and tried to sell us on the foot imprint and the fancy box. It was all money to them while we cried for an entire week. We opted to have the ashes in a temporary box so we could spread his ashes at his favorite park, but then when we got his ashes home, we couldn't bear to have the last of him so far away from us, so here they sit, on the shelf, and we think about him every day.
We lasted one week before we got a new puppy.

I lost my dog a few months ago. Worst type of heartbreak . I hope the next few months are healing for you and when /if you want too - there are people out there that can put a small amount of ashes into rings/necklaces etc if you want !

I know. My dog was seldom left alone for very long, but even so, I somehow wish I'd managed to spend even more time with her. I guess that's natural; their lives are so brief.

I have my cats ashes. She made her presence known shortly after. Once in a while I hear her ghost rumaging though stuff.

My landlady asked about Panteras age today, and how old cats can get. She then asked if I'm gonna get a new one when Pantera is no more. I was too choked up at the thought of that day, I couldn't even answer.
Luckilly, landlady noticed and changed the subject.
