I always think of this poem when I see a full moon on a dark night away from street lights:
It was one of those we had to copy out in our best handwriting and then learn by heart when I was about 9.
Silver
Slowly, silently, now the moon
Walks the night in her silver shoon;
This way, and that, she peers, and sees
Silver fruit upon silver trees;
One by one the casements catch
Her beams beneath the silvery thatch;
Couched in his kennel, like a log,
With paws of silver sleeps the dog;
From their shadowy cote the white breasts peep
Of doves in a silver-feathered sleep;
A harvest mouse goes scampering by,
With silver claws and a silver eye;
And moveless fish in the water gleam,
By silver reeds in a silver stream.

@FreddieUK Indeed!
I stil have my copy of The Junior Weekend Book, published in the 1950s. I think I was six when given it. I wonder if Silver is in the chapter of poetry - none of the poems in the book were written especially with children in mind, and it would certainly fit in there.

Yes - I have sometimes wandered into my back garden around full-Moon times, having woken in the early hours of the morning. Not for long as it can be quite chilly, but enough to enjoy the moonlight and the quietest time in my suburban area.
I just had to tease you with what I've always called Supple Seduction.🔥

@MoonlightLullaby seduction is a very apt word to use for her 🌕
