I read either the first 4 or 5, not the one from last year or the new one. I did see the show too, on Max (HBO) and thought it was well done, very faithful to the books.
@SW-User I don't take interest in the "celebrity culture" (although sometimes impossible to avoid) so I don't really know of any criticism. Apart from seeing one Harry Potter movie (the first I think) I know little about Harry, although my daughter read the lot.
But I have really enjoyed the Strike series. Beginning to get right into the Ink Black Heart - but so many names to keep track of!
