Oil is a fungible asset dingaling. World market determines the price. Just like gold - notice how it doesn't get cheaper in the 3rd World which you love so much

Gas prices were 4 dollars average and higher under Biden 2022 because he stopped the pipeline and drilling. Only reason it ever came down was election coming up so he flooded the market with the strategic oil reserve. Do you even know why there’s an oil reserve? But all that’s ok. Right?

Oil is sold on the world market. If a barrel of oil costs $100.00 in the middle east it costs $100.00 in Huston Texas. While the Keystone XL may increase US oil supply but it won't lower the cost of oil by itself.

@Carla
The Keystone Pipeline is alive and well.....and was leaking.
As of early 2026, the specific Keystone XL pipeline expansion project remains terminated and inactive, despite 2025 efforts by the Trump administration to revive it. While the existing, separate Keystone pipeline system continues to operate (and recently underwent repairs following a 2025 leak), the proposed 830,000-barrel-per-day expansion was abandoned by its developer, now South Bow, in 2021.
The "XL" portion was set to run toxic tar sands oil from Canada, through a fresh water aquifer.
Any sane person would not risk contamination of a clean water source.... especially for toxic crap oil that would be exported and have zero impact on US oil use.
