It really has beed horrifying reading the reporting into this.
You can almost understand the odd character working in such a place and being undetected but an entire culture ?

Obviously no Consultant or Registrar or head of department had overall control and that in itself should have raised concern at the CQC if not the Department of Health since all hospitals are required to record births. Deaths. movement to other specialist departments.

But the grieving parents who had nowhere to turn.... many reported their concerns to the police and again there are questions to be asked there over a lack of interest in following it up.

@Picklebobble2 Doctors don't need to go to Africa to do humanitarian work. They should come to UK.

It’s their communist health system…

Sadly this is not unique. Our baby died because there was not an incubator many years ago.

Our son’s hospital is under special measures because of constant problems with the maturity unit.

And of course the Countess of Chester had abnormal deaths unrelated to Letby.

@peterlee Not an incubator? Did you sue?

@emiliya what would be the p”pint. Money cannot bring back a life.

@peterlee To make them pay. Like any branch of government they want to cover it up and keep getting away with it.

A baby should have the best of care.

Boy the shit we're finding out about the UK. That shit like this has been going on for decades. Not the image i was given from childhood at all. We were taught it was a polite and very civilized place where people spoke politely and sipped tea in their gardens. Rape gangs, killing babies letting them rot? This is just amazing.

Another baby at Nottingham Hospital was disposed of as medical waste after the mother suffered a miscarriage. The parents wanted to bury their daughter, but staff chucked her in the bin.

Nottingham Hospital kept hold of one dead baby for 37 days. The parents wanted to view their baby when she was finally released to the funeral director. She showed significant deterioration, prompting the family to file a complaint.

Abdominal discoloration was noted two days before the baby's death in utero, but staff did nothing.

A baby at Nottingham Hospital was put in a fridge on the maternity ward after the baby died. It was left in the fridge for days. An incident form was filled, which said “baby found in fridge.”

Whose baby was this?
