You'd think the US government and Armed Forces would have learnt by now that simply wading in all guns blazing, destroying targets on supposition rather than real evidence, and toppling, even murdering, presidents more often worsens than solves the problem.
Yes, the drugs trade has to be broken, but not by killing people. Arrest them if they are carrying drugs, and sink their vessels; but don't sink the crews with them. That only inflames the matter, and does not greatly hurt the gang leaders to whom the unfortunate runners are expendable.
