You could ask the same question of the German military Generals under the fascist regime of Adolf Hitler.
Why didn't those German Generals push-back with Hitler when they realized what direction Hitler was taking Germany?
Instead, they all went along with Hitler no different than the US Generals are going along with Trump... hence are complicit with Trump's modus operandi.

Every General knows their allegiance is to the Constitution not the President. When push comes to shove it's just a matter of how many of them will sell their souls.
The biggest problem we have counting on the military is that before Trump makes the really bold move he will know which Generals are in his pocket and neutralize the ones who aren't.
It's ultimately gong to be up to the people. If the MAGAts get their way they will come to regret it bc Trump doesn't give two sh!ts about them, the Churches or anyone else who put him where he is.

We can't assume the military will be our last protector of the Constitution if the Congress, Courts, the media and, yes, a good percentage of the citizenry do not.

The funny thing about Americans and how Americans think, is that all it took for the MAGA-Republicans to force an Insurrection on Jan 6th and take the country back was to have someone like Joe Biden go all 'woke' and let a bunch of undocumented immigrants come across the border, 4 million to be exact.
Yet here we are today with the USA under siege with a direct dictatorship firmly in place with not even the Republicans pushing back against MAGA, let alone the Dems trying to take their country back!
If you ask me, Americans love to be victimized, otherwise, why would 330 million US citizens be content to remain fat, dumb and happy with their country going down the toilet at the hands of some circus geek like Trump and Hogsbreath?
What America's non-action shows the world is truly how WEAK and vulnerable the United States of America really is at it's core. That's actually embarrassing, not for me, but for those tax-paying American citizens who got duped by a snake oil salesman... not once, but TWICE for fukk sakes!
