Charlie would not support Kimmel being cancelled for speech. He supported all speech. He welcomed debates those who disagreed with him. He would stop the crowd from shouting them down

If there would have been social media when JFK and MLK were assassinated there would have been people cheering and celebrating their murders

People were aloud to say whatever they wanted. They could be as ugly and hateful as they wanted to be

But we are at a point with speech with certain words, sparking violence like fascist, Neil Nazi authoritarian modern day Gestapo. Sick twisted people here these words and may want to be the one who gets the glory for taking a a conservative out

There are those politicians like Maxine Waters who literally have told their constituents to push Trump supporters out of restaurants out of shopping malls and must be stopped at all cost. Every politician, who says words like these, it doesn’t matter whether Democrat or republican need to be arrested and held
Accountable There are those to hear these words and want to be the hero for taking a conservative out

I don’t want a civil war but that is where we are right now

@missyann Newsflash Missy:
There were plenty who celebrated the shootings of JFK and MLK, as well as RFK and many others.

Do you think Kimmel's contract (which expires in May of 2026) will be renewed?

@Thinkerbell Time will tell.
Same with Colbert.

Kimmel has 20m followers on YouTube.

It would not be surprising to see him and Colbert....and others, make the move to say Netflix or YouTube or other service.

Turns out it did not matter. Sinclair and Nexstar, the media companies that own the ABC affiliates, are no longer carrying Kimmel on their networks.

@Northwest Im in DFW.
Our ABC channel is owned by Tegna....but by end of 2026, it's supposed to merge with Nexstar.

Coming to your neighborhood soon: State TV via Sinclair & Nexstar!
