I come from the land of a thousand basslines and this one is not in the playbook so I call it unique indeed.
I've only listened to it once and look forward to listening more and more at increasing levels of volume.
The drums also get a lot done with what seems little effort,which hints that the beats are truly finely crafted with just enough oomph to put human hips into motion. If I were in an interstellar capsule about to face a fierce team of Zeta Reticuli Amazons in a mud bog tug o' war I would want this band on my side. The strange synth lines ought to nicely mess up any opponent just like they mess up my little mind.
I'm glad you posted the lyrics,as I was not very focused in on first listen. Now I've heard it 3 times and am whispering along marveling.
Once again Jewels rates a page in my DJ notebook with stars and exclamation marks in the margins-THANK YOU!
