I was a little earlier, Black Sabbath when Ozzy was lead singer, Robin Trower, Deep Purple, Montrose and my list could go on forever...lol...Went to over 100 concerts myself...Best concert ever for me was Black Sabbath in Chicago, 5th row center when Van Halen was their backup band..
Machine Head is FANTASTIC! And perfect story Cyclops! I feel a bit inadequate now. If I wanna see all these people perform then I don't have much time left, and in some cases I'm SOL. Aah, why was I born in '94? 😫
AWESOME list! My dad went to a Tesla concert once, and he met a guy in the crowd named Newt (who first made conversation by asking my dad "Do you like Tesla?"). They talked for a bit and it turned out that Newt is good friends with Jeff Keith. My dad asked if he could get an autograph after the show. Newt asks for my dad's name, and he tells him it's Brian. Newt says "Oh that'll be easy to remember; he has a brother named Brian." After the show dad goes backstage with Newt, who tells him to wait at a corner. Five minutes become ten, then fifteen and twenty, and my dad thinks he's never gonna see Newt again. Finally he comes around the corner walking slowly. My dad asks if he got the autograph, and Newt says "Yeah, but I couldn't remember your name." 😒
... Anywho! Good list, and don't forget Zebra or Night Ranger!
I was in similar situation and met Frank Hannon and sat in a closed bar drinking beers with him
Thanks for sharing, I saw Zebra with Reo Speedwagon, been trying for ever to see Night Ranger, but between location, timing or funds have not seen them yet
