@Oneofthestormboys I listened to a lot of the older stuff as well but there's a lot new acts in the underground who have the same attitude and mentality of the classic bands. There's a sense of community once again. Punk is one of the most influential genres, wouldn't have Swedish death metal without it. And while I understand that death metal can seem inaccessible, it isn't simply noise. The best acts can combine aggression with atmosphere and melody.
