Bowie was amazing in that movie "The Man Who Fell To Earth." Really had me believing he was an alien from outer space.

Bob Geldof told about his friendship with Bowie recently. He even stated that while Queen was brilliant at Live Aid, it was David Bowie's powerful performance and introduction of raw footage of the Ethiopian famine that caused the massive surge in donations, "melting" the phone lines, not Queen's set as sometimes depicted. Can't agree more because I remember watching that show then. It was the age of regained innocence, even breaking the Iron Curtain down, but now it's again lost. Braudel was right on his assessment of history
