That's a good intro you've got there, so you can start by listening to more by the same artists: Simon & Garfunkel, Cat Stevens, Jim Croce, Neil Young, Creedence.

A few more to add: big hits by these artists: Linda Ronstadt, Crosby Stills & Nash, Buffalo Springfield, James Taylor, Joan Baez, The Byrds, The Eagles, early Joni Mitchell.

Grateful Dead also have deep roots in folk music; really shines thru in the Workingman's Dead album; also American Beauty.

Then there's Bob Dylan; a force to be reckoned with. He brought so much to folk rock. Doesn't have the sweetest voice, so you might like covers of his songs, but check this out:

@ChipmunkErnie stunning!

Robyn Hitchcock is the folkrockingest fellow I've come across.
He is often seen in interesting and vibrant shirts and once he drew an infinity symbol in my notebook.

Strict4u · 56-60, M
@Hamed2218 if you like American country music you should check out a a cappella group called home free especially their cover of man of constant sorrow the beat boxer is really good especially making the harmonica sound
I always think of the Eagles as 70s Country Rock.

@bijouxbroussard I agree with you! they have a great discography!
Folk rock good, country music, bad.
@Wediegiver I take it that country was never shoved down your throat while growing up.
Hamed2218 · 22-25, M
@NativePortlander1970 isn't country music the descended of folk music regardless of where it comes from?
@Hamed2218 No, Bluegrass is, which they try to lump in with c/w.
