I worked at a bookstore where he did an autographing for his autobiography. He talked to everyone and this went on long after we closed. I just wanted to go home. Someone finally did the closing announcement. I was sitting at a desk signing out when I realized there was a customer standing at the music section about 20 feet away. I looked up and I'm sure I had a scowl on my face. It was him. He nodded at me. I nodded back. He left. That was my John Denver encounter.

@DancingStarGoddess that yodeling kind of thing he does on Calypso. I don't know how he hits those notes. And he fills it so full of passion.
