I have..many times. Once I saw a saw a large snake burrowing in out of the ground in the backyard, when it was raining and the sun was shining. I never could identify what species of snake that was, but I was fascinated watching it. Reminded me of pictures of 'Nessie', with the head and body showing above the ground.
