If I were you I would buy a good one, but not go all out. I wouldn't get a Taylor or Martin or anything, maybe a good ibanez or gibson. Spend a few hundred bucks but not in the thousands. You want a good guitar, but also if you end up playing it for a while and never playing again, you don't want to waste your money.

Buy a cheap guitar and see if you take to the instrument. If you don't then nothing lost. If you do then upgrade when you get better. Simple

No. Buy a better one and make friendship with it for all your life. :)

No my child.

Get a good one. Nothing more discouraging than having the instrument make you sound bad instead of your beginner's mistakes.

I play the acoustic.

By the way, my first guitar was a FirstAct. They're good.

@Dybbuk: Should I buy a cheap guitar as a beginner ?
Dybbuk · 36-40, M
@Puzzleofflesh: I don't see why not. Right now your goal is to get a feel for it and learn the chords.

Get a a few hundred dollar guitar. They are good for beginners and are good work horse guitars. No sense buying a cheaper one that sounds like ass and won't stay in tune.
