Can you believe that I've never listened to Joan Baez' version of "House of the rising sun" ?

I'm blown away. Her voice is so pure that it makes me want to rejoice and weep simultaneously. If you've never heard it then it's worth a listen.

My mum was a huge fan so this was the first version of the song I heard around the house growing up, so it always seems like the original to me. I've heard so many versions of it now, because I love the song, even Frijid Pink's psychedelic version.

@SW-User Enjoy. I like the way it's sung from a woman's point of view. Not that I don't like the other versions. It's just nice to have her interpretation. And her voice !?!...well damn !!! The beauty of it is something really special.
