Kurt Cobain
Without a doubt
Jimi Hendrix is a close second

All of them! Would be very hard to choose just one.. Tending towards ELvis, Bob Marley or Freddy Mercury.. But you did forget Lemmy from MOtorhead and Bowie.

John Lennon, and it would have been Live Aid. In retrospect, that seems like an event that would have been a perfect venue for him. Had he lived, it might even have been something important enough to him and the other three to prompt a one-time Beatles reunion. It still pisses me off when I think of everything Chapman stole from the world that day.

Hendrix.
Nothing against the other contenders but i think Hendrix was a force of nature !
Why isn’t the recently deceased Chas from Chas and Dave on the list? I’d choose him.
