@bijouxbroussard yeah, I'm a little younger than you. My first album was a reel to reel of a Julie Andrews kids album and The Muppet Movie. That should definitely date me appropriately. 😁

There wasn't a record store in our little town. My first album purchase was by mail - K-Tel's '20 Dynamic Hits' by the Original Stars doing the Original Songs lol. I bought a couple more of those with my lawn-mowing money before some of the variety stores and head shops started carrying LPs.

I wish i could say something really hip and cool but i suspect my first album was probably something awful like......the years best movie themes or even MORE likely, anyone remember those godawful 'Top of the pops' albums ?
