Cause it’s BS. Iran shot those down and the administration doesn’t want to admit it
Same thing as when Iran spent half a day saying the Ayatollah was still alive

@EBSVC I think Iran claimed to have shot only one down. But I could be wrong

@AwesomusPrime Info is flying so fast it’s impossible to know almost anything
I’m just making guesses

I'd like to know how exactly how it happened. F15s don't have the stealth capabilities that he 22s and 35s have but they have all kinds of technology to evade SAMs. How in the F did they take down three of them.
I'm sure we'll hear more about this.

@AwesomusPrime Clearly the Kuwaitis havent seen Top Gun 2...😷
MoveAlong · 70-79, M
@whowasthatmaskedman That would be par for the course but it's very rare to have one of our fighters shot down. When is the last time that happened? There are too many military contributors on all the news networks for this to not be analyzed.

@MoveAlong Maybe. Lets wait and see who is right?😷

It looks like the US jets were about to land in the US airbase, which is part of the Kuwait Airport, which is less than 15 miles from the Kuwait Water Towers.
Kuwait has its primary air defenses set up to protect the Water Towers. These are a combination desalination complexes, that pump into water storage tanks.
They are better defended than oil installations. They can afford to lose oil, but water is vital to their survival.
My first trip to Kuwait, I asked about the towers and the military installations and I was told that they're meant to protect water from Iranian aggression.
I can see how 3 planes, on their way to land, not being concerned, and some ill trained Kuwaiti newbie freaking out thinking he's about to lose his head, literally, thinking an Iranian plane or drone, is about to force the Emir to bathe in Evian.

All Gulf countries must be regretting that they have US bases in their countries.

@jshm2 If it was the F35 I would agree with you. They are sort of the "Dodge" of US planes. But the F15s have a long and successful history. Of course, maintainance could be an issue.(Particularly under Trump & co..) But losing three at once seems careless. On the other hand, maybe some of the Kuwaiti anti craft crews were kids when Kuwait was invaded and experienced being "liberated" by Americans already.. 😷
