I don’t know you. Then again, you don’t know me.
The assumption that God will defend your behavior OR mine, includes the assumption that we are following both the spirit and the letter of the Law, what God wants from us. Considering the warning that “None is perfect, nay, not one” clearly contradicts that assumption.
Throughout history, we have not only had the audacity to NAME God, but to insist our name for the Eternal is the only correct name. Uncountable humans have died because other humans have decided they follow a Deity with the wrong name.
I too have friends I love deeply. That does not mean “ride or die.” It does mean consoling them, comforting, being there when the phone rings, when the boat is sinking. It doesn’t mean enabling destructive behavior, whether the destruction is to themselves or to others. It means doing everything I can to stop the bleeding when they are injured, but stops short of assisting the destruction.

@Mamapolo2016 I thank you for your thoughts. My God is Jesus who died for me. I mean no insult to you or who you follow but I am just sharing my thoughts.
