They are bad, nothing but a derailment (deliberate) by the big pharmaceutical companies.

I can vouch for this, my sister us high up (very) at Smithkline Beecham. My sister and I are not friends.

Might I suggest meditation instead of harmful drugs?

I have PTSD and I keep xanax in my purse. Its helped me thru some hard times. I don't know how people use it recreationally because it just makes me wanna sleep. Klonopin, on the other hand...🤩

@JaneDoe23 lol.i can't think of using it recreationally

I've taken Xanax, Ativan and Klonopin for my anxiety before.
None of those could even touch it.
I did get an Ativan shot twice at the hospital and that was the only thing that worked for a long time.

My neuro years ago gave me Xanax one time b/c I told him I stopped my thyroid med cause the dr I had back then was an idiot and wouldn’t listen that the brand was racing my heart bad. He told me to try the Xanax to help my nerves while taking the heart racing med till I could see the new dr. The Xanax did absolutely nothing to me. A nausea pill calms me better 😂

@MellyMel22 anxiety and all that starts from hypothyroidism..i have it too sometimes

@SW-User My rapid heartbeat and palpitations were a bad reaction to the generic brand(one of the fillers- they don’t know which though). The new Dr agreed w/me that it was likely something in the generic brand and switched me to the real brand name and it stopped. When I went for my last c-section, I asked the Drs in the OR to please note that I need the Synthroid brand name and they looked at me kind of funny but I told them I had a bad reaction to the generic that they had to take me off it.

The next morning they woke me up extremely early and half asleep took the med and after I took it I said, “that was brand name, right?” The nurse said they only do generic brands unless it’s specifically ordered by your Dr 😡 I told her that they better be ready for my heart rate to go dangerously high and she blew it off saying I’d be fine and to calm down. I said well, you’ll see yourself soon.. Shortly after my heart was racing and I saw my heart rate jumping and that nurse came in panicking and pacing waiting for a Dr saying, “How is it even possible your heart rate is so high w/the narcotic in your system?!” I said, “ I told you, you thought I was trying to be a princess saying I needed the brand name 😒

Did those meds you mentioned help you?

I worked in a pharmacy for 12 years. These were some common controlled substances that we dispensed.
Very helpful when taken as needed but taking both might be a bit much.
Also many of our clients who took it daily developed tolerance and dependency over time.
SW-User
@REMsleep the rules here to get these drugs r very stringent
BabyLonia · F
Xanax is not available on the NHS in the UK. Doctors are reluctant to prescribe it because it is highly addictive.

There are some non- benzo anti-anxiety meds available
SW-User
@BabyLonia it's unfair that people make it a recreational drug or get addicted to it

What if someone from another country traveling to U,k has these drugs in possession? With a doctor's prescription of course
BabyLonia · F
@SW-User they are not illegal, you can buy them with a private prescription here.

People will use what they can for recreation

MethDozer · M
@SkeetSkeet so no change?
Applepiedom · 61-69, M
Ex used to abuse them. Crushed and smoked them with pot. Drank on them, damn was she screwed up
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
I have heard of but never tried. I suspect it would be like hitting myself in the forehead with a ball peen hammer.
SW-User
@uncalled4 lol instead u won't feel being hit
MethDozer · M
The difference between the two is negligable. They're benzos, it's kinda like alcohol but without the rush.
